The Government of Guyana expressed grave concern over the threats posed by transnational organized crime and narco-terrorism, particularly from networks like Venezuela’s Cartel de los Soles.

In a statement, the government emphasized the need for enhanced cooperation at national, regional, and global levels to combat these threats, which undermine democracy and the rule of law.
Reaffirming a commitment made by President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Guyana pledged to collaborate with bilateral partners and support initiatives aimed at dismantling criminal networks. The government aims to uphold the rule of law and maintain the region as a Zone of Peace.
