The Guyana Police Force has announced that it is taking action on all relevant offences in the case of a 15-year-old girl who was critically injured by a 28-year-old man. This incident has sparked significant public outrage and concern.
The attack occurred on Tuesday evening in Heatburn Village, East Bank Berbice, where the teenager was reportedly stabbed 25 times by the suspect, believed to be the father of her child. According to preliminary investigations, the man arrived at a residence where the teen was present, leading to a violent altercation that resulted in the numerous stab wounds.
Since the incident, the suspect has fled the scene and is currently being sought by law enforcement officials.
