Today marks an important milestone in Guyana’s energy transition as a new 3MWp Solar Farm in Prospect, Berbice, is officially commissioned. This facility is the second solar farm commissioned in Berbice and the third to come online within just one month, contributing to the country’s commitment to renewable energy.

Together, these solar projects will add over 10MW of renewable energy to the national grid, fostering a cleaner and more sustainable energy future for Guyana.
The commissioning ceremony will be officiated by the Honourable Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips, Prime Minister of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. This event highlights the government’s dedication to enhancing energy efficiency and promoting sustainable practices.
