In a video posted by the Ministry of Housing, Croal emphasized that this initiative aims to expedite the processing of Certificate of Titles and grant individuals access to their lands. He mentioned that nearly 1,000 people have already been called to sign their Agreements of Sale.

“Within the next two to two and a half months, we will have over 3,000 individuals signing for seven new areas. The investments in these areas alone exceed $38.5 billion, making it easier for individuals to access their lands,” stated Croal.

So far, residents of No. 70 and No. 71 villages in Berbice, as well as those from Lusignan Phase 1, have begun signing their agreements.

“To fast-track the service for allottees waiting for their Agreements of Sale and to process their titles more quickly, we have added additional days to focus on these areas. There are several new developments coming on stream in Regions 6, 4, and 3,” he added.

The minister also urged other allottees to be patient as the Ministry works to streamline the issuance process.

“In the coming weeks, we will have multiple signing events, including for Lusignan Phase 2, where we have initiated the process for 500 individuals to sign their Agreements of Sale and start processing their Certificate of Titles. Similarly, for Good Hope Phase 2, we will be calling in about 300 people,” Croal announced.

Additionally, he noted that infrastructure work is set to commence in the identified areas shortly, further enhancing access to these new housing developments.
