Minister of Human Services and Social Security Dr. Vindhya Persaud announced that Old Age Pensioners will begin receiving an increased pension payment starting in March. Pensioners who have already collected their January and February payments of $41,000 must visit the post office to stamp their March voucher, which will reflect the new pension amount of $46,000.

After stamping the March voucher, pensioners will receive an additional $5,000 for January and another $5,000 for February. This means that with their March payment, they will collect a total of $56,000.
In an interview with the News Room, Minister Persaud clarified that pension books should be stamped every three months, regardless of the payment locations chosen by pensioners.
Stamping will occur on a quarterly schedule:
In April for April, May, and June
In July for July, August, and September
In October for October, November, and December
It’s important to note that all vouchers must be stamped at the post office, even for those who opt to cash their payments through Western Union, MoneyGram, or other locations.
