Guyana’s largest showcase of innovation and construction, the International Building Expo 2025, begins today at the National Stadium, Providence, at 5:00 PM. Running from August 14 to 17, the theme is “The Road to Success, Guyana 2030 and Beyond.”

Minister of Housing and Water Collin Croal has emphasized that this year’s expo is not just an exhibition but a national conversation about the country’s future. With nearly 400 booths, it’s touted as the largest and most inclusive Building Expo yet.
Originally launched in 2010 by President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the expo was suspended during the APNU+AFC Coalition’s term but was revived in 2022 by the PPP/C government. The expo has promoted green construction, introduced prefabricated homes, and facilitated international trade, including a notable sale of 120 housing units to Ghana.
This year, 2,000 land titles will be distributed, building on last year’s success. Attendees can also access financing from popular banks on-site. Minister Croal highlighted that the expo focuses on investing in people, preparing the next generation for a sustainable future.
