The Guyana Police Force is investigating a disturbing viral video circulating on social media that allegedly depicts wanted man Jamal Bourne, also known as “Skinny,” sustaining a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound during a Facebook Live broadcast. Authorities have yet to confirm Bourne’s death.

The video, which emerged online on January 18, 2026, shows Bourne during a live stream, where he appears to suffer a gunshot injury. Police emphasize that no official report of the incident has been reported to any divisions of the force.
Bourne is currently wanted in connection with the murder of Akeem Hamer, which occurred on September 12, 2024, in Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara. During the broadcast, he was reportedly seen alongside other individuals and allegedly displaying a collection of suspected firearms.
In response to the video, the Guyana Police Force has stated it is taking the matter seriously and conducting thorough inquiries. This includes verifying the recording’s location and investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“The video has since been removed from the page on which it was originally posted,” Police Headquarters confirmed, urging the public to assist with any information related to Bourne or the shooting incident.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are focused on gathering more details to determine the validity of the claims made in the video and any potential leads related to Bourne’s whereabouts.
