In a Press Statement he Wrote : I struggle to listen to the Vice President’s press conference every Thursday, but I do so because I believe that to give my opinion, I need to hear both sides and be as informed as possible. Honestly, though, the amount of lies and misinformation peddled really solidifies how detrimental the PPP is for Guyana. It’s like dealing with a nasty neighbor who will go to any lengths to convince the community that you’re a bad person—and if that doesn’t work, they’ll just throw garbage in your yard.

During these press conferences, I hear the Vice President fabricate vile names for those who hold opposing views. It’s downright classless—this is the Vice President of Guyana! Where is the diplomacy and professionalism? Most importantly, where is the respect for your fellow Guyanese?
Then there’s the delusion, which is a whole other worrying dynamic. Today, he spent 45 minutes discussing Azruddin Mohamed and the WIN party, comparing crowd sizes with the PPP, attacking everyone on their list, and even mentioning “Doggie.” Yet he ends with, “It’s APNU and AFC making Mohameds famous though.” Ironically, most of his press conference was about him!
And don’t get me started on the media that attends. He barely answers questions from professional reporters, often giving sarcastic responses and dodging the actual queries. Meanwhile, state and PPP media dominate the session with prompted questions, feeding him rehearsed answers. For example, “Can you state AGAIN how long and beautiful the new Demerara bridge that the PPP is building is going to be? And how many engineers APNU and WIN are not paying with their private money, meaning they can never afford to build a bridge of this brilliance?”—paraphrasing, of course!
To conclude, if you are still an undecided voter or under 35 years old, I urge you to listen to his press conference every Thursday at 2 PM. He will give you all the reasons you need to not vote for the PPP.
