Allan Smartt, a 38-year-old resident of Kuru Kururu on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway, has been charged with attempted murder following his arrest by officers from the Timehri Police Station on September 1, 2025.
Smartt appeared in the Friendship Magistrate’s Court today before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke, where the charge was presented. He was not required to enter a plea and was subsequently remanded to prison.
The charge stems from an incident involving Debbie Samuels, which allegedly occurred on August 31, 2025, in Kuru Kururu. The case has been adjourned until October 7, 2025, for further proceedings.
