Lethem Fisherman Remanded on Narcotics Possession Charge

Clive Thornhill, a 48-year-old fisherman from Tabatinga, Lethem, was remanded to prison on Wednesday, August 17, 2025, following his appearance in court on charges of narcotics possession with intent to traffic.

Thornhill faced Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded not guilty to possessing 25.6 pounds of narcotics. The court has adjourned the case until October 28, 2025.

Thornhill was arrested on September 16, 2025, by police officers who discovered the narcotics in his possession.
