Randolph Braithwaite, a 72-year-old resident of Linden, tragically lost his life early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Amelia’s Ward.
According to Police Headquarters, the specific vehicles involved in the accident remain unidentified at this time. Braithwaite’s body was discovered lying on the southern parapet at the third corner of Amelia’s Ward Access Road. Authorities noted visible lacerations on his body, which are suspected to be injuries sustained from the collision.

Emergency services were promptly notified, and police officers arrived at the scene to transport Braithwaite to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead by a medical professional.
His body is currently at Jetsco Funeral Home, where it is undergoing cold storage until a post-mortem examination can be conducted.
A thorough investigation into the incident has been initiated, with police actively pursuing all available leads to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
