In the late hours of July 16, 2025, detectives on mobile patrol intercepted a white Toyota Axio, registration #PAC 4181, on Aubrey Barker Road, between Penny Lane and the Festival City entrance. The vehicle was being driven by 22-year-old Samuel Cole from Kitty, Georgetown, who was the sole occupant.
During the stop, police conducted a search of Cole’s person but found no unlawful items. However, a further search of the vehicle revealed six live 9mm rounds of ammunition and two spent .32 shells hidden under the front passenger seat in a multi-colored plastic bag.
When questioned about a firearm license, Cole admitted that he did not possess one. He was informed of the offense, cautioned, and subsequently arrested.
Cole was taken to the East La Penitence Police Station, where he was placed in custody. The vehicle was also impounded, and a search of Cole’s residence was conducted, but no additional evidence was found.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
