Shemrun Prince, a 27-year-old resident of Lot 970 North Sophia, Georgetown, was charged with unlawful wounding, in violation of Section 50 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01. The charge was related to an incident that took place on February 21, 2026, at 111 Miles, Mahdia, Region #8, involving a 33-year-old pork knocker from ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Georgetown.
Prince appeared before His Worship Magistrate Clive Nurse via Zoom on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty. However, the matter was dismissed after the virtual complainant did not offer any evidence.
As a result, Prince was placed on a six-week bond to keep the peace, with the alternative of six weeks’ imprisonment in case of default.
