HGP Nightly News Reports : Mayor Trevi Leung is currently under scrutiny following allegations of sexual assault made by a young woman who reported the incident to the police on September 7, 2025. The woman claims that Leung approached her, grabbed her breasts, and attempted to kiss her on the cheek.

In her statement to police, the young woman recounted confronting Leung, asking, “What powers he had over my body to handle me in such vile ways,” to which he allegedly responded that he could do so. The situation escalated when her boyfriend confronted the mayor, resulting in Leung allegedly punching him in the face.
After nine days without updates from law enforcement, the young woman sought legal representation from prominent attorney Eusi Anderson. Anderson has since written to Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken, demanding clarity on the status of the investigation.
In his letter, Anderson requested answers to several key questions, including:
- Whether a criminal investigation has been launched against Leung and the specific offenses involved.
- If Leung is under arrest, and whether he is on bail.
- Whether charges have been filed or are forthcoming regarding the alleged sexual assault and the physical assault of her boyfriend.
- If a confrontation has occurred between Leung and his accusers.
- The status of the medical certificates for both the young woman and her boyfriend, which serve as evidence of their injuries.
Anderson warned that a lack of response from Hicken’s office after September 22, 2025, would be perceived as disinterest in fulfilling their duties, and he indicated that further actions may be taken if necessary.
The situation continues to develop as the community awaits further information regarding the investigation and the mayor’s response to the allegations.
