Minibus driver Lakeram Omrow has been fined $30,000 for dangerous driving following an incident on the Rupert Craig Highway on December 17, 2025, between 09:00 hrs and 09:45 hrs.
Omrow, who resides at Lot 296, Long Pond, Sisters Village, West Bank Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Ms. Shivanie Lalaram at Georgetown Magistrate’s Court No. 7. After the charge was read, he pleaded guilty to the offense.
As a result, Omrow was fined $30,000 for his actions on the highway. This case highlights ongoing efforts by authorities to enforce traffic regulations and ensure safety on the roads.
