The Ministry of Home Affairs, under the leadership of Minister Hon. Oneidge Walrond, has unveiled revised vehicle tint regulations following extensive national consultations and public feedback. The previous allowance of 35% tint has been replaced by new provisions that now permit a maximum tint of 20% in specified areas of the vehicle.

Key highlights of the revised guidelines include:
20% tint permitted on the back windshield.
20% tint allowed on rear passenger windows.
25% tint allowed on the driver and front passenger seat windows.
No tint allowed on the front windshield.
A visor strip, with a maximum width of 6 inches, is permitted only at the top of the front windshield (no visor is allowed at the bottom).
Motorists have been granted a grace period until December 31, 2025, to adjust their vehicle tint in compliance with these updated requirements.
These changes are designed to enhance visibility and road safety, as well as improve enforcement efficiency, while taking into account the feedback gathered from public consultations. The Ministry emphasizes the importance of adhering to these new regulations for the safety of all road users.
