According to a ministry statement, the teacher was placed on administrative leave immediately when the allegations surfaced, in line with established standard operating procedures. The ministry said it has been engaging with parents and affected students as part of its response.

The Welfare Department of the Department of Education met with three parents on separate dates — Friday, March 13; Monday, March 16; and Tuesday, March 17 — and each parent was provided with a referral letter to the Child Protection Agency, the ministry said.

As part of the investigative process, each affected student will undergo a forensic interview; one such interview has been completed so far, the statement added.

No further details about the allegations or the identity of the teacher or students have been released. The ministry said it will continue to follow its procedures and coordinate with child‑protection authorities as the inquiry progresses.
