The Ministry of Housing will introduce a new online portal in approximately two weeks for residents of Region Four who applied for housing in 2021 and earlier. This announcement was made by Housing Minister Collin Croal on Thursday during the launch of the Hyde Park Homestead project.

“In two weeks’ time, we will launch the portal. We are moving the target in Region Four, starting with applications from 2021 and prior,” Croal stated.
The new portal aims to help the ministry maintain accurate records and expedite the processing of applications in Region Four. Through this platform, applicants will also have the ability to update their phone numbers or addresses if any changes occurred since their original application submission.
In September 2025, Minister Croal had revealed that the government had exhausted available land for housing schemes along the East Coast and East Bank of Demerara. This situation prompted a strategic shift to focus on new developments along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. Region Four, which has the highest number of pending housing applications, remains a central focus of the administration’s housing program.
Further updates on the portal and its functionalities will be provided as the launch date approaches.
