During a public meeting at Stabroek Square last evening, Mohabir Anil Nandlall addressed comments he made that did not accurately convey his intentions. He issued an unqualified and unreserved apology for any misunderstanding.
Nandlall emphasized that he has always regarded slavery as “by far, the worst tragedy in recorded history.” He clarified that his remarks were not meant to disrespect or divide, but to condemn attempts at racial division within the country.
He reiterated the importance of unity among citizens for the advancement of the nation and expressed his sincere apologies for any unintended disrespect or offense caused by his comments.
