Eshell Crighton took to Facebook to share her frustration and plea for justice following a tragic incident involving her son. On September 29, 2025, her son was reportedly knocked down by a teacher in the school compound during lunchtime while she was driving into the Leonora Primary School grounds.

According to Crighton’s post, the day after the incident, her son provided a statement regarding the accident to Officer De Lawrence, who informed her that the case file would take up to a month to return from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). After waiting with no further updates, Crighton decided to follow up on the case.
When she contacted De Lawrence again, he advised that the file was still with the DPP. Following up at the DPP’s office, Crighton discovered that no documentation concerning her child’s case was present. By December 2025, after more delays, she returned to the police station and learned that the file, which was supposed to be processed, had been located downstairs but still required preparation.
Crighton highlighted her disappointment, sharing that officers had promised to expedite the file that day, but she had received no further communication. Recently, her husband managed to reach De Lawrence, who informed them that the file had once again been sent back to the DPP for unknown reasons.
“Five months have passed, and I need justice for my child,” Crighton expressed, underscoring her urgent need for answers and outcomes in her son’s case. As the family continues to seek clarity and justice, Crighton remains determined to ensure that her son’s story is heard.
