Mother Seeks Justice for Son After Brutal Attack

Lisa Ray Persaud has taken to Facebook to express her frustration and desperation in seeking justice for her son, who was severely beaten in an incident involving two young men from Kingelly. In her emotional post, she detailed the harrowing experience her family has endured since the attack occurred in October 2024.

Persaud recounted that her eldest son was brutally assaulted by two individuals named Isaiah and Chippy, resulting in serious injuries to his head and back. Despite numerous visits to the CID Department at Weldaad Station, she reported that no arrests have been made, and one of the assailants remains at large.

“My son was admitted to Fort Wellington Hospital, but due to a lack of necessary medical equipment, I had to spend thousands of dollars to take him to Woodlands Hospital for proper care,” she shared, highlighting the challenges they faced in securing adequate medical attention.

The mother expressed her concern that while her son continues to recover from the traumatic experience, the police have yet to provide any updates on the case. “The file went to the DPP for the younger teenager, and I’m still waiting for information on a way forward,” she lamented.

In her post, Persaud implored those in authority to intervene and ensure her son receives the justice he deserves. “My child did nothing to these two young men, and the police found no reason for the attack,” she stated, emphasizing her dedication to caring for children and her plea for justice on behalf of her son.

Her heartfelt message included a call to action for anyone who can help, as she shared images of her son’s injuries, illustrating the severity of the situation. “Look at the pictures and see how they could have killed my baby for no reason,” she wrote, hoping to raise awareness and prompt a response from the community and law enforcement.
