A few months after pledging to build a new home for 25-year-old Omawattie Persaud and her family from Hampshire Village, Berbice, Mr. A. Mohamed returned to the community on Tuesday to officially hand over the new building.

The Persaud family had previously lived in dire conditions, reaching out to the businessman for assistance. Upon visiting their small wooden shack, which was often submerged during rain, Mr. Mohamed promised to help them secure a better living situation.
On Tuesday, Omawattie expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mohamed for his generosity, highlighting how the new home provides them a fresh start after years of hardship.
Mr. Mohamed, who is the presidential candidate for the We Invest In Nationhood (WIN) party, congratulated the family on their new home and wished them all the best for the future. This initiative reflects his commitment to improving the lives of families in need within the community.
