Newsroom : Azruddin Mohamed Surrenders to Police Amid Controversy

  • News

News Room Reports : Azruddin Mohamed, a US-sanctioned figure, surrendered to police on Thursday after law enforcement officials attempted to arrest him for obstruction of justice. This followed allegations that he offered a woman $500,000 to drop a case against his chief organizer, known as “Dirty Doggie.”

Accompanied by a lawyer, Azruddin turned himself in after reports surfaced that he had contacted the woman, who had been assaulted by Bradley Sampson—alias “Doggie.” The woman reported being savagely beaten in public and threatened with an unlicensed firearm at Cuffy Square in Georgetown.

The incident was first reported to the police by the young woman, prompting the Guyana Police Force to issue a wanted bulletin for Sampson. After the bulletin was released, Azruddin allegedly approached the woman and made the monetary offer, prompting her to return to the police.

While Azruddin has surrendered, Sampson remains at large despite previously stating he would surrender by noon on Wednesday. The situation has raised significant concerns regarding the influence and actions of individuals involved in the ongoing case, as well as the safety of the victim.
