Ally made the disclosure during an appearance on the Starting Point Podcast at the weekend, revealing that the app has received over 750 submissions since its launch, of which 467 have been fully addressed.

“We have received over 750 issues that people have raised with us, we have fully resolved 467. Once the issue comes in, it is routed from my agency to the ministry that has to resolve that,” Ally said.

The app was created to deliver transparent, efficient and effective service to citizens, with common concerns including garbage collection delays, drainage challenges and other community issues. Ally noted that in many cases, citizens were raising matters that were not yet public knowledge, and that simply being acknowledged and responded to has proven meaningful.

“I believe citizens just want to be heard and want to be responded to,” he said.

Ally also highlighted the progress of the companion Skills Connect App, which operates on a similar model but is focused on employment. More than 1,200 persons have already registered their skills across a range of trades on the platform, positioning themselves to access available job opportunities.
