The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) extends its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr. Sylvanus McKend, a founding member of the Party. Mr. McKend served diligently at various levels within the PNCR and remained a committed and dedicated member until his death.
Mr. McKend played a pivotal role in the formation and development of several key initiatives, including:
The Boersaire (Soldiers’ Scheme) Housing Scheme
The De-Kindren Housing Scheme
The Meten-Meer-Zorg Primary School
The Glad Tidings Baptist Church in De-Kindren
Notably, he financed the land for the construction of the Meten-Meer-Zorg Baptist Church out of his own pocket. Additionally, he made history as the youngest Manager at the rice board.
Mr. McKend was called to higher service on December 6, 2025. The Leader of the PNCR and the Party’s membership extend their deepest sympathies to Mr. McKend’s family, relatives, and friends during this difficult time.
