Reports confirm that Constable Carl Sanmoogan (25768) has been transferred immediately from Regional Division 1 Immigration to Regional Division 6 at Moleson Creek General Duty. This decision follows a handshake with Mr. Azruddin Mohamed, a presidential hopeful.

This transfer stems from Mr. Mohamed’s visit to Santa Rosa, Region 1, on June 2, 2025, where Constable Sanmoogan was photographed shaking hands with him.

The move has raised concerns among citizens, many viewing it as a troubling example of political victimization under the Irfaan Ali-led administration. Public servants must be allowed to execute their duties without fear of undue influence. This transfer reflects the nature of the PPP/C administration; it is not merely administrative but politically motivated, disregarding fairness and neutrality within the public service.

The PPP/C administration continuously attempts to suppress the freedoms of Guyanese. We cannot continue to operate in fear of retribution.

Come September 1, we must exercise our democratic right to vote for change. A vote for Azruddin Mohamed is a vote for fairness and respect for all public servants.
