Authorities are currently investigating an alleged incident involving the discharge of a loaded firearm that occurred on Sunday, February 22, 2026, around 5:00 PM at Robb Street, Bourda. The incident reportedly involved two male individuals and a 42-year-old businessman from Shell Road, Kitty, Georgetown, who is identified as the suspect.

Acting on information received, police ranks visited the suspect’s residence on Shell Road, where they made contact with him. A search of the suspect’s person revealed a 9mm Taurus pistol, along with two magazines and twenty rounds of 9mm ammunition. Additionally, the suspect produced a firearm license registered under a Transportation Service.
While the firearm license was found to correspond with the weapon in his possession, it was noted that the license had not been renewed for the year 2026. Further investigations at the premises revealed a motor vehicle parked in the yard that is believed to have been used in the incident.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Kitty Police Station, where the firearm, ammunition, and vehicle were secured pending further investigation. He remains in police custody as authorities continue to delve into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
