Police in Regional Division 4 ‘A’ are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body found on Monday, March 23, 2026, at approximately 11:40 hrs, at a residence located at ‘C’ Field, South Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown.
The deceased has been identified as Ronald Gobin, 78, a pensioner of the said address.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Gobin lived alone and was found in a state of decomposition inside his apartment after a report was made to the police.
A doctor on duty from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation later pronounced him dead, after which the body was escorted to Memorial Funeral Parlour, where it is currently awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
