Police Investigate Death of 12-Year-Old Boy in Essequibo Coast

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 12-year-old Samesh Singh, whose body was discovered on the Golden Fleece Foreshore after being reported missing on Thursday afternoon.

The tragic discovery was made by a relative of Singh who was searching for him at the time. The child’s body was found lying face down in the sand, approximately 150 feet northeast of the Golden Fleece Koker. He was reportedly wearing only cream-colored boxer underwear.

While police have stated that no foul play is suspected at this stage, they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to understand the events leading up to Singh’s death.
