Authorities are investigating a tragic motorcycle accident that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Brandon Thomas on the morning of January 1, 2026.
Thomas, a construction worker from Melanie, was riding motorcycle CN 8252 eastbound in the northern lane of Coldingen Public Road when he reportedly lost control and fell onto the roadway. Witnesses indicate that he sustained significant injuries.
Public-spirited citizens quickly rushed Thomas to the Enmore Regional Hospital; however, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body has since been transferred to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination. In an effort to gather more information, police have secured CCTV footage from the area to aid in their investigation.
Authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the accident as they seek to piece together the events that led to this tragic incident.
