Police Report: Jenny Mohammed Found Dead, Three Arrested in Murder Case

More than a week after she was last seen, 48-year-old Jenny Mohammed was discovered dead in a garbage bag wrapped in a tarpaulin on Thursday, June 19. Police have arrested her husband, daughter, and son-in-law as the investigation into her alleged murder unfolds.

Reports indicate that Jenny was brutally stabbed to death at her residence. Following the incident, the suspects reportedly placed her body in a garbage bag, wrapped it in a tarpaulin, and disposed of it. Authorities noted that a rope was tied around Mohammed’s neck, and her body exhibited multiple stab wounds.

Jenny was reported missing by her relatives on June 10, 2025. After the missing person’s report was filed, police visited her home and discovered a substance suspected to be blood, leading to the subsequent arrests of her husband, daughter, and son-in-law.

Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum confirmed the arrests and stated that the investigation is ongoing. Acting on received information, investigators were guided to the new Eccles, East Bank Demerara road, where Mohammed’s body was recovered.

During questioning, Mohammed’s daughter and son-in-law admitted to devising a plan to kill her, claiming that she was abusive towards all three of them. The police have also recovered the murder weapon, a knife, as part of their investigation.
