  • News

President Dr. Irfaan Ali has unveiled a comprehensive housing plan for the Soesdyke-Linden Highway aimed at providing residents with land titles, homes, and essential amenities. Speaking at a public meeting in Silver Hill, he emphasized the need for organized community development.

To facilitate this, the PPP/C government plans to establish a dedicated unit within the Attorney General’s Office for the regularization process. President Ali stated that the government is investing billions in infrastructure, including water and electricity, benefiting communities like Adventure, Kairuni, Silver Hill, and Loo Creek.

He envisions housing schemes for 400 to 500 homes, ensuring residents live in cohesive communities. Several surveys have been completed to support this initiative, with plans to assist residents in building their homes over the next five years.

Attorney General Mohabir Anil Nandlall announced an eight-month timeline for planning and allocating house lots, which will empower residents with land titles. Additionally, Minister Kwame McCoy highlighted investments for safer living conditions, including streetlights along the highway.
