Quincy Baird Charged with Larceny Related to One Communications Guyana Inc.

Quincy Baird, a 37-year-old photographer from Plantation “B,” Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, has been charged with larceny by clerk or servant in connection with an alleged theft from One Communications Guyana Inc. The charge contravenes Section 184 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.

Baird appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Her Worship Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 29, 2025. The charges were read to him, and he was not required to enter a plea. He was subsequently granted bail in the sum of one million Guyana dollars.

The matter has been adjourned to Wednesday, February 11, 2026. As part of the bail conditions, Baird is required to lodge his passport with the court, refrain from any contact with employees of One Communications Guyana Inc., and report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters every second Friday of the month.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities from the Guyana Police Force (GPF) will continue to monitor the case as it proceeds.
