Several individuals were injured this morning in a serious three-vehicle collision on the University of Guyana Access Road in Greater Georgetown. The crash occurred after a speeding white car reportedly jumped the central median and collided with oncoming traffic.

The incident took place on the westbound carriageway leading to Georgetown. Eyewitnesses and one of the drivers involved reported that the speeding white car was traveling east towards the East Coast Demerara when it suddenly crossed the partition separating the dual carriageway and crashed into a car heading in the opposite direction.
The impact sent the first vehicle, which had a lone male occupant, careening forward into a third car. The first vehicle sustained extensive damage, and its driver was violently thrown from his seat, leaving him in critical condition.
The driver of the second vehicle appeared to suffer broken limbs and was rescued from the wreckage by bystanders. He was quickly placed into a passing vehicle for transport to the hospital.
In a troubling turn of events, an eyewitness reported that during the chaos, valuables—including the injured driver’s gold chain, iPhone, and wallet—were allegedly stolen while he was unconscious. Relatives who later arrived at the scene found that all his belongings had disappeared.
The third vehicle, struck by the second car, was pushed into a nearby trench. Its two occupants, including the driver, also sustained injuries, with one complaining of severe chest pain.
The condition of all the injured parties remains unclear, but eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic and traumatic.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
