As the Overseer for the Matarkai Sub-Region NDC, I’ve observed significant infrastructural growth in our communities. This progress isn’t just about roads and buildings; it’s about creating opportunities for our youth and ensuring a brighter future for all.
Under the PPPC’s leadership, over 6,000 hinterland youths have secured employment through initiatives like the Youth Entrepreneurship and Apprenticeship Programme (YEAP) and part-time job schemes. These programs have injected over $1 billion annually into our economy and have been transformative for many young Guyanese.
The Progressive Youth Organization (PYO) has also played a crucial role, with over 6,000 young people participating in conferences and joining the party’s youth arm. This surge in youth engagement reflects the PPPC’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
