Earlier today, June 27, 2025, murder accused Brian Richards was committed to stand trial at the next practicable sitting of the Demerara Assizes by His Worship Mr. Sunil Scarce at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate Court.
Richards is facing charges for the murder of popular entertainer and educator Kirwyn Mars, known as Sir Mars, which occurred on May 7, 2023, at Plantation Providence, East Bank Demerara. The trial proceedings will continue as the case moves forward in the judicial system.
