Six Charged in Connection with Death of Wanted Man Jamal Bourne

Six individuals have been charged with failing to report an unnatural death following the incident involving Jamal Bourne, also known as ‘Skinny,’ who allegedly shot himself during a Facebook Live broadcast on January 18, 2026.

The accused were arrested on January 20, 2026, and formally charged on January 26, 2026. The individuals charged are:

Shiloh Nurse, 26, of Church Street, Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara

Yashua Angoy, 20, of Second Street, Kaneville, East Bank Demerara

A 17-year-old male from Yarrowkabra, Linden Highway

Tyron Gill, 21, also known as “Ace,” from North Ruimveldt, Georgetown

Latana Rambharrat, 18, of Belle West, West Bank Demerara

Sasha Lyken, 21, from Samatta Point Grove, East Bank Demerara

The defendants appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rushell Liverpool, where each pleaded guilty and was fined $9,750. The minor was sent away following the proceedings.

Ongoing Investigations

These charges are part of the investigations into Bourne’s death, which has prompted increased police operations in Linden.

On January 21, 2026, police discovered what are believed to be burnt human remains, along with firearms, ammunition, and other items, during sustained operations at Three Miles, Wisroc Housing Scheme, Wismar. Crime Scene Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department, along with canine units, conducted the search, securing the suspected remains for forensic examination.

A nearby structure was also searched, yielding a suspected pistol with an empty magazine, three shotgun cartridges, a spent 9mm shell, knives, clothing, and additional materials linked to criminal activities. In the surrounding vegetation, three toy rifles were retrieved.

All exhibits have been lodged for analysis, and the suspected human remains will undergo examination by a Government Pathologist as inquiries continue into Bourne’s death.

Jamal Bourne was wanted in connection with the murder of Akeem Hamer, which occurred on September 12, 2024, at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara. A deeply disturbing video that circulated on social media reportedly depicts Bourne inflicting a gunshot wound to himself during a livestream. In the video, he is seen handling several firearms in the presence of others. Although the video has been removed from the platform, police confirmed it remains vital to the ongoing investigation.

The Guyana Police Force has assured the public that investigations are active, and further details will be made available as the case progresses.
