Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, expressed her profound sadness over the tragic passing of young Jodea Seline, a student at Central Corentyne Secondary School.
“It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the tragic passing this evening of young Jodea Seline. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and relatives and pray that you find strength at this very sad time,” Minister Parag stated.
The Ministry of Education, along with the Government, is actively engaging with the doctors and staff at Number 75 Hospital as they care for and monitor the other students and teachers injured in the accident that occurred earlier that evening.
“We pray for their speedy recovery,” she added. The community reflects on this heartbreaking loss and sends thoughts of support to those affected.
