On the night of July 16, 2025, around 11:30 PM, several law enforcement personnel from the Guyana Police Force illegally invaded a gated property owned by Mohamed. They deceived the security guards at the community entrance gate to gain entry, then terrified the guard at the security checkpoint, demanding access to the property. The officers, visibly armed with automatic weapons, stated to Hana Mohamed that they wished to “have a word” with Azruddin Mohamed regarding an unspecified issue. When asked to present a warrant, none was produced, and the officers remained silent.

It is important to note that Azruddin Mohamed’s phone number is known to law enforcement; yet, the GPF chose to invade the property instead of making a simple phone call. This raises serious questions about political persecution, intimidation, and mental harassment.
On July 17, 2025, Mr. Mohamed, accompanied by his attorney Siand Dhurjon, reported to the Ruimveldt Police Station. After waiting for four hours, he was charged with obstruction of justice—specifically, the allegation that he offered $500,000 to the complainant in the ongoing investigation related to Bradley “Doggy” Sampson. Mr. Mohamed categorically denied this allegation. He was subsequently charged but released on his own recognizance due to unsuccessful attempts to contact the complainant.
Mr. Mohamed, who is vying for the presidency of Guyana through his WIN organization, is being victimized, harassed, and persecuted for frivolous reasons. His detractors, fearful of the growing mass movement of WIN, are aggressively trying to derail his efforts. However, these negative actions only strengthen his resolve. He remains committed to ensuring equity for all Guyanese.
