Lorian Toney, a 34-year-old ambulance driver from Tabatinga in Central Rupununi, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charges under the Cybercrime Act 2018.

Toney was arrested on September 25, 2025, for using a computer system to humiliate, harass, and cause substantial emotional distress to Maxine Hendricks, which is a violation of Section 19(2)(a) of the Act.
On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Toney appeared before His Worship Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court. She was fined $1,000,000 GYD and received a one-year prison sentence for her actions.
