Nineteen-year-old Elijah Nieunkirk has been released on $75,000 bail for a charge of simple larceny. He appeared before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on August 14, 2025.
Nieunkirk pleaded not guilty to the allegation that he stole a grey Honjue motorcycle valued at $211,000 from Shanya Griffith on August 7, 2025, at Lamaha Street, Kitty, Georgetown. His attorney, Stacy Goodings, requested bail, stating that her client denies the accusation.
The prosecution objected to bail, citing the serious nature of the offense and mentioning that Nieunkirk allegedly admitted to the crime during a video/audio interview. They expressed concern that he might not return to court if granted bail.
Despite the prosecution’s objections, Magistrate Azore granted bail, and the case is adjourned to September 24, 2025.
