Three men have been charged in connection with the trafficking of over 70 kilograms of cocaine following court proceedings at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU), Devon Haynes and Narindra Singh appeared before Magistrate George facing charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, specifically relating to 70.008 kilograms of cocaine. Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Bail was denied, and both Haynes and Singh were remanded to prison until February 20, 2026.
In connection with the same case, Mark Jainarine also appeared before the court, charged with aiding and abetting the trafficking of the aforementioned quantity of cocaine. Jainarine pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail set at GYD $600,000. His case has likewise been adjourned to February 20, 2026.
