Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged double murder of Mark Thomas and Wendy James, both residents of Baramita, North West District, Region One. The suspects have been identified as Kizzian Baird, Junior Richmond (known as ‘Po-Pal’), and Ewart Wilson.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred on June 16, 2025, at New Star Backdam. Following the incident, a police team from Regional Police Division #1 conducted an extensive search of the area between June 16 and 19, as the suspects had fled their homes.
All three individuals were located and apprehended in various hiding spots within the Backdam region. They have since undergone video and audio interviews, and witnesses have provided written statements that confirm the suspects’ involvement in the crime.
Post-mortem examinations for the two victims are scheduled to take place on Monday, June 23, at Port Kaituma. Police investigations are ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details surrounding this tragic case.
