Tragedy at Number 65 Village Fishery: Young Man Loses Life During Boat Test

The News Desk Reports : A tragic incident occurred this afternoon at the Number 65 Village Fishery, where a young man lost his life after falling overboard during a boat test.

According to reports, the young man accompanied the boat’s captain around 4:00 PM to test the vessel for potential leaks. The pair ventured into the channel as part of routine checks. Unfortunately, while navigating the waters, the captain made a turn, causing the young man, who was a passenger, to topple overboard.

Despite immediate efforts to locate him, his body was recovered only hours later. He was rushed to Skeldon Hospital for medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The boat captain is currently in police custody, assisting with the investigation as authorities seek to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details will be provided as they become available.
