Commissioner of Police Mr. Clifton Hicken shared a heartfelt tribute to Commander Raphael Rose, describing him not only as an Assistant Commissioner of Police but as a brother.
Reflecting on their time together in the ‘A’ Division and subsequent transfers to Regional Divisions 3 and 9, Hicken praised Rose’s exceptional management skills and his ability to handle cases with efficiency.
Rose was in town for meetings and was en route back to Lethem when he experienced severe chest pains. Despite efforts to reach medical assistance quickly, he tragically passed away.
Hicken expressed the profound sense of loss felt within the Guyana Police Force (GPF), stating, “His death is a painful one for us at this time, as he will surely be missed by all.”
