Sunday Express Reports : A local attorney was arrested this afternoon after police discovered a suspect in the murder of 22-year-old Candace Honore hiding in his office. The suspect had reportedly been at the lawyer’s premises since Thursday, the same day Honore’s body was found.

Honore’s remains were discovered inside plastic bags, stuffed into a suitcase, and dumped in a shallow pond off Oropouche Road, Valencia. The body was located just after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday by the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, following tips from residents and information gathered since her disappearance on July 11.
Witnesses reported that Honore was last seen on July 8. The suitcase containing her remains was found approximately 15 feet from the road, partially submerged in murky water. Police had been searching for a suspect believed to have known Honore well and residing in the Valencia area.
Initial reports indicate that the suspect approached the attorney’s office seeking legal representation. After the lawyer quoted a fee, which the suspect could not pay in full, the attorney allegedly decided to harbor him, even providing a bed for him to sleep. According to police, the attorney suggested that the suspect’s family or friends could bring the remainder of the money, promising to accompany him to the police station for surrender once the fee was settled.
However, police received information on Sunday indicating that the suspect might be sheltered at the attorney’s office. Upon their arrival, officers apprehended both the suspect and the attorney.
Authorities have confirmed that the lawyer is facing charges for harboring a fugitive as the investigation into Honore’s murder continues.
