The music world mourns the loss of beloved singer-songwriter Kay Alleyne-Meloney, who passed away on Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer. News of her death spread quickly across social media, leading to an outpouring of tributes from fans, fellow artists, and the cultural community.
Alleyne-Meloney gained national recognition when she was crowned Digicel Rising Star in 2007, capturing the hearts of many with her incredible talent.

You had just joined Laventille SDA’s Choir, and we all agreed, ‘this new girl could sing.’ That designation defined much of your life. What a loss; I’m lost for words. God bless your family with peace. Rest easy, Kay, and sing with Roxy now.”
