Keeran Latchman and Ryan Singh Found Safe After Going Missing
Trinidad Express Reports : Keeran Latchman, 21, and Ryan Singh, 18, have been located safe and sound after being reported missing since Monday. The two young men were found today in Valencia and are currently at the Valencia Police Post being interviewed by authorities.
The alarming situation began when the pair vanished during a trip to Valencia to transport a boat engine. Their abandoned van was discovered in D’Abadie, raising concerns among their families.
The families of both young men had been deeply worried. Latchman’s mother, Annie Seetahal, shared her fears, noting that her son suffers from epilepsy and requires daily medication. She described how Latchman had been unwell the previous week but had told her he felt better and was ready to work.
“He explained that he had a lot of items in his van that needed to be delivered,” Seetahal said. “He left my home around 2 p.m. on Monday. That was the last time I saw him.”
Seetahal kept in touch with her son throughout the day via messaging. Initially, their conversation seemed normal, but her worry grew when he stopped responding. “I checked the GPS for the vehicle and saw it was stationary in one spot at Red Hill, D’Abadie,” she recounted.
After several attempts to reach him, Seetahal decided to drive to the location. “It was a dark, bushy area, and I didn’t want to come out. I was scared,” she admitted. When she arrived, the vehicle was empty, prompting her to report the situation to the police.
Singh’s mother also expressed her anxiety, recalling a recent tragic incident where another young man was found dead shortly after leaving home for a car purchase. She highlighted that her son did not have a cellphone, making communication difficult.
“Both of us were calling and messaging Latchman’s phone but getting no response,” she said. “This is not like him at all.”
Fortunately, both Latchman and Singh have now been found, bringing relief to their families and the community. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding their disappearance and the ransom demand that was made for their lives yesterday.
As the families await further updates, they are grateful for the safe return of their loved ones, who had been the subject of intense concern and worry over the past few days.
