Christopher Maharaj, a 45-year-old Trinidadian man of East Indian descent, of Red Road Plantation, East Bank Demerara, and driver of Motor Lorry GAJ 8982, was charged by Inspector Jadunandan with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
He appeared before Her Worship Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. Maharaj pleaded guilty.
The court fined him $200,000 or three (3) months’ imprisonment.
