Laurence France and Drawn Williams were taken into custody on Friday following a raid conducted by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) at a residence in Tabatinga, Lethem.
Acting on information received, CANU officers conducted a search at the location, leading to the discovery of multiple parcels containing illicit substances. The search yielded 45 grams of cocaine and 27 grams of cannabis.
Both men were arrested and transported to CANU’s Lethem office for further processing, while the seized narcotics were logged for evidence.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing as authorities work to address drug trafficking in the region.
